Frequently asked safety questions

Find essential tips on burning your melts safely, removing spent wax, and storing your collection properly to maintain vibrant fragrances.

How do I safely use my Scent2U wax melts?

Break off one or two segments from your wax melt block, depending on the size of your burner dish. Place the wax in the clean dish, place an unscented tea light in the lower chamber, and carefully light the wick. Never overfill your burner; one to two pieces are more than enough. You can continue re-melting with fresh tea lights until the fragrance has completely faded.

What are the most crucial safety rules to remember?

Never leave an active burner unattended. Always keep lit burners and warm wax well out of reach of children and pets. Place your burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from draughts, flammable items, and open windows.

Where can I find allergen and ingredient information?

Each Scent2U product includes a CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) label on the packaging. Please review this label before use to check for specific allergens, fragrance ingredients, and safety warnings.

How do I remove spent wax from my burner?

Once the wax loses its fragrance throw, allow it to cool and solidify. You can gently apply pressure to one edge of the cooled wax until it pops out cleanly. Alternatively, warm the wax slightly and place cotton balls or pads in the dish to soak it up, then carefully wipe clean and dispose of the wax responsibly.

How should I store my handmade wax melts?

Store your wax melts in their original packaging in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. This protects the delicate fragrance oils and ensures your melts remain fresh and potent until you are ready to use them.

Can I use an electric burner instead of tea lights?

Yes, our melts work wonderfully with electric wax warmers. Simply ensure the dish does not get overfilled and follow the manufacturer's guidelines for your specific electric burner model.
